Mmmmtoasty

I forgot how tiring and loose spending a day outside just enjoying nature and sunlight and walking makes me feel. Especially when followed with lots of liquids and a cold shower. I ought to do it more. My first time at Longwood Gardens, too. The weather couldn't have been better (except for when the breeze died and the sun decided to roast my oh-so-pale skin for a moment) and the company was superb.

I'm sporting a very hip strip of white skin at my wrist now. Where the watch band was. Unf, baby, unf. You'd think multiple and periodic latherings of 30spf would be enough to prevent burning. Sigh. I think the tips of my ears are toasted. But it was worth it.

Century plants. Fuki. Watching [info]neherenia fold all those long limbs up because she MUST go through the beehive hole. I have pictures of us on a bee chair. Oooo.

SPF 30? No wonder you burned! C'mon. Pasty white chicks like ourselves need to go hardcore on the sunscreen. I got myself some SPF *70* and that shit works like a charm! I wore it while standing out at Live 8 for twelve hours, and the only part of my body that was even *slightly* flushed was my cheeks and back of my neck. (From profusely sweating... It never burned though. It faded in a few hours.)

So yeah. SPF 70. For girls like us. ^^;

(I actually burnt through multiple coats of SPF 50 at the shore last year. I'm pathetic...)
